I understand looking for Free activities, I am budget savvy myself. That is why I decided to put together a list of the top 10 Free things to do in Denver.
Denver Free Activities
Denver Mint – You can take free 45 minute tours at the Denver mint where you can learn all about money, money, money.
Rocky Mountain Arsenal – Perfect if you don’t want to drive a long way but would love to check out some nature. You can see the buffalo roaming, check out the deer family and catch some awesome bird life.
Celestial Seasonings Tour – The Celestial Seasonings Tour is a great way to spend an hour. Located in Boulder, this fun tea tour will take you through the factory then out to the tea tasting room and gift shop, where window shopping is fun!
Platte River Walk – Start at REI in Denver and take a wander along the Platte River. In the summer months, you can see people on the smaller rapids and dip your feet in the river.
Hammonds Candy Tour – Another fun free tour is the Hammonds Candy Tour, the kids love this one and you get free candy at the end!
Free Days – Each month there are a collection of free days at locations like the Denver Zoo, Denver Children’s Museum and the Museum of Nature and Science. (HINT: I post these free days each month right here on my blog)
Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave – Located in Golden this is a great way to get a short hike in, take in some views and learn more about the local history.
Red Rocks – There is nothing more iconic then Red Rocks. It is a great place to explore, get some good exercise in and people watch!
Coors Brewery Tour – A fun way to spend an hour or tour, while it may not be the best beer in town, the tour is fun!
Carpenter Park Thornton – The playground and splash pad at 112th and Colorado in Thornton is a great place to spend time on a beautiful day. In Summer for a small fee, you can also ride the boats and the carousel.
